FMP: The Third Rule

seagulls on beachLooking at this photo the sea is crooked and out of place for the human eye to admire. Talking to one of my tutors (Dave) he suggested the third rule. Saying how I can make the photograph above all in level and so that we could admire it more. seagulls on beach the third ruleNow the photograph is suitable to admire as the sea is in level with everything else. I found how to do this from a good website but also help off Dave. Editing the photo on Adobe Photoshop using the rulers and cropping a little gave me such a great last photo. When taking the real photos I will try and do this anyway, however if I cannot then I will use this tip in Photoshop as it gives the photo a more crisp look.

FMP: Research into posters.

'Barmouth', BR poster, 1956.Looking at this poster advertising Barmouth it shows the past, what it used to look like and how the peoples clothing is old fashioned. I would like to make two different posters showing how it has changed from today to the future advertising Barmouth and also how you should travel to improve the environment. The past poser will be in black and white, and then the future in colour. I may add some colour pop to these posters to make it more effective.

FMP: Further research

Looking at this video, I want to show my photographs from now to the future. This advert shows the past and now. I’m thinking of doing it as a leaflet form or making a slide show with an over voice saying why travelling by train would be more economic way, however I could still wright this down on the poster or advertise Barmouth using the poster. My first impression was seeing the black and white for the past which in my case would be now and then colour for the future showing how better it is.

FMP: Practice shot edited

sea editiedFrom my practice shots I edited this one. I turned it to black and white and changed the colour depth and the fussiness of the photo. From there I changed the colour range to end up with this photo above. I did this on Adobe Photoshop. My first response from this is that I love the edited version, how the sea is in black and white and then the sky has sort of come back to life with some of the blue. I will use this photo I think with 2015 showing now and then take a photo and allow colour in this to then show 2025.

FMP: Extra ideas and mind maps.

From looking at further ideas I have now thought that I could show how things have changed from 2015- 2025 and put this all in a poster form to show this and how in the future it would be better to make plans jumping on plane and polluting the world that a holiday in Barmouth which is more economic to travel would be more better. From the two mind maps below you can see my ideas to what the changed could be and how the weather is nicer and its much alike Spain or somewhere abroad. mindmap2From looking at the mind map above I am going to take photos of what 2015 looks like and how I want it to be displayed as the environment is not very good. From getting on a plane to go abroad its polluting the whole world, but Barmouth mainly as of all the rubbish and barley nobody there.

mindmapNow the environment is great and a better place. To keep the environment this way we should really go here in a car or train so that we don’t pollute, instead of getting on a plane abroad. This helps Barmouth a lot by making more tourists go there and enjoy the facilities for free and to have fun with new technology on the beach.

FMP: Further ideas and changes

From talking to my tutor, me and her thought that from the photos they are to nice to say how global warming is horrible and too hot. To be more realistic I have come up with a new idea where it could be a leaflet or poster saying how Barmouth is a great place to go and is more economic, instead of getting on a plain polluting the air, you can travel shorter distances to stop the world from not being here. Below is my new mind map showing my final ideas, however I may change some in the future of the production to make my photos look better with different sceneries. mind map 3
